Background: little is known about where they started, but legends has it a space traveling race sent a team to the planet the ants come from, they saw the strange ants and took with them a small colony, that is widely seen as a bad move, after generations of making new members in zoos, a new born queen was stolen (or so the story goes) and she ate a ki using member, this new born chimera ant could use ki, and brought more and more ki users to the queen, after a while they ate their way through that solar system, and spread out, with periods of war with itself making them be far fewer in numbers then they could be, currently one king has made it’s way to earth, this king is not mindless, is smart and was born with the power of birthing like a queen (see guru’s profile) he is said to be one of the strongest members of his race
Racial Traits: reproduction through devouring. By eating other creatures, a Chimera Ant queen can impart the characteristics of ingested creatures onto the next generation of Chimera Ants it gives birth to. To take advantage of the genes of a particular species, Chimera Ants have been known to feed until the fodder species is driven to extinction in its ecosystem. If eaten a sentient race member might regain his mind as a chimera ant
